Several studies have been conducted in order to establish a correlation between periodontal disease and preterm, low birth weight infants. Based on the information from the articles, and my own knowledge, pregnant patients should continue to seek prophylactic care throughout pregnancy, and those recently diagnosed with periodontal disease should seek care.
Natural, essential oils are being used more and more in people's homes, medical offices and dental offices. We can suggest using oils at home in rinses or topically.
Research
Clinical practice techniques and medical knowledge is constantly changing. It is important to be up-to-date wit the latest research. Being able to read articles and apply the content to my patient care is critical to maintaining effective treatment skills.
